Felbrigg
Spalding
Spalding could do with a good face lift. We walked around
in the evening and, from what we heard, we could have been
in Poland!
although the shopping centre in which was the Travellodge where
we stayed, had lovely gardens attached
We gave the van a rest and took the bus to Kings Lynn
Kings Lynn
an old port
with plenty of history
well recorded
but the town is not stuck in the past
Belton
Hardwick Hall
better than its counterpart at Wisley
Chatsworth
a wet day
so this was not
the only water feature
Blore Hall - an HPB property
smart heron - a model in every respect
scruffy heron - a real one
Dovedale
stepping stones 'closed'
but some played the ironman
Tattershall
the jets from Coningsby screamed overhead
we saw the circuits and bumps from the tower
Retford
Retford market - was there anything else?
our B&B - an independant 'hall' - billiard room?
Cumber Park - lovely place
The Tissington Trail
Pat needs to rest awhile
Paul gets a break as well
- and again
but not for long
offering hospitality
The Monsall Trail
Paul returning from beyond the viaduct
